I never believed that any project or group could be more dysfunctional and incompetent than APLNG and Surmont...and then I started working with Permian Unconventional! Partners should run, landowners should require legal/royalty review and employees should avoid this rudderless ship like the plague! After eliminating the actual talent, leadership and dissenting voices through two layoffs, what is left is a bunch of arrogant yet incompetent clones. Like their leader, all seem to be protected by bosses or relatives who value "networking" (read a$$kissing) flexibility over actual talent or drive to succeed. I have never seen financials and performance data manipulated so brazenly and easily to spin a false message to the L48 LT and ELT. There is no leadership, just meetings where Mabee ("Babee") whines and pleads before his cohorts threaten and deride. Morale outside the delusional and incompetent "in crowd" is abysmal, yet nobody cares. This group and their shenanigans made my decision to look elsewhere easy. If Matt Fox values Mabee so much and Ryan is willing to allow it, then there is no hope for saving COP. The world's largest independent oil and had company is also the worst at executing value projects and managing their daily business...as the future of the company leaves or is pushed out!

Yes, bad man put in management position who should have NEVER been put there all hell on COP is a happening. COP FET has been bamboozled by a young inexperienced man who rose to supervisor stardom with NO SKILS other than SAP knowledge and his big TALK such a joke and a real detriment to COP AND THOSE DEGREEDED EDUCATED TALENTED ETHICAL WORKERS GONE. He's got your number you are next in his guillotine. COP sorry to say but you are not very smart or a savvy class A company to work for anymore with farm boy in charge (Anchorage tower) such a Joke.
You said it PERFECTLY! I see it happening right in front of me in the Anchorage tower. Talk about the arrogant meaningless uneducated ones they put in charge letting go of the amazing talented and wholesome ones. It's not the Conoco I knew and it's definitely changed for the worst with this new org they got going on and the ones that rose to superstardom over night not even having to put in much time at the company, having an ass hole attitude, no skills other than I am a good talker bull shitter bamboozle their way up. How can Conoco FET allow this? I am totally confused. It seems like a very corrupt place to work now knowing what I know and seeing it happen right in front of me. All I can say is WOW COP it's messed up. COP has no true organizational skills, it's a creepy quiet, selective meetings and talks going on behind your back to get rid of you. I will never look at ConocoPhillips the same ever again. It's being run by schemers and schmucks. I am a witness. Saw it happen right before my very eyes. I've been axed by the very schmuck and schemer, Conoco will never be the same, all hope of returning is lost. So much talent has been laid off.
COP used to be a good company but once the jerk at the helm came aboard he began it's downfall. Bad management, bad decisions.

Awe I can tell you there are worse groups! I have never worked at such a disfunctional company, after asking around I found that a majority of the groups are the same. Don't ever call attention to the issues because you will go right to the top of the list for the next round of layoffs! They want everyone to drink the koolaid that COP is such an amazing company! LOL hang in there and make sure to suck up to the supervisors and managers because that's the only way you get anywhere...doesn't matter how well you do your job so don't worry about putting effort into that.
