Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Do they still spout a bunch of bullshit about SPIRIT values?

While there is nothing wrong with layoffs themselves, it is clear that many unethical things went on in these layoffs. Do they still talk about the so called SPIRIT values?

SPIRIT values are only values if you believe in them. This company does not believe in integrity, have a look at how they handled the rooms in camp, how they PIP someone and within 6 weeks they fire them. I have seen how they have treated people and they use scare tactics to get people to be "yes" men. This is an organization that is only interested in low lying fruit rather than deal with the real under lying issues. SPIRIT values are only a value when it is the companies best interests and will shove them down your throat otherwise they are used against you in order to run you off. Agreed there are to many incompetent people making decisions in this company and I know of one serious F*cktard who should never be in the position that they have. I don't have to go through all of the letters in SPIRIT to prove they don't follow or believe in them do I? Sorry to the guys that are still there, lots of good people that are bullied into submission.

What happened to ConocoPhillips??? I know of a very corrupt couple of non degreed, uneducated individuals involved in this scheme you help me I'll help you scheme who definitely benefited from this. Knowing this just makes me question who you can and can't trust there now. All I can say it's a corrupt place to work. There is noting ethical about what I know and nothing ethical about COP anymore during this COST your screwed RE ORG, definitely a false work environment with lots of coercion going on. COP better stop playing sheep in wolf clothing. COP better rethink their tactics letting go of good talent allowing schmucks to run the place.

Yes, it's definitely going on. I see all of the crap going on with COP now and the GOOD talented ones they fire to keep the idiots is more than true. COP is made up now with some arrogant uneducated idiots with the new ORG making it to management positions overnight with no SKILLS whatsoever running the company such a joke and just feels so corrupt now.

Come on COP wth? If he didn't like you as a co worker watch out he's got the golden hammer now it's over you are out of there no explanation either and a total entitlement attitude invasion of your office materials thinks they are his right with out even asking you. It's a kiss ass bamboozle suck face suck up COP ORG now. COST / Cut Out Sorry Through

Ummm. So why did the 1 rated person on our team get severed and we kept the 3 rated person? Let me guess, cause the 1 rated person was graded higher and cost more. (and no, he didn't raise his hand to leave).

We now have a useless 3 rated idiot doing the job of someone who is gone and was really good. Said job is now not getting done, and the rest of us are having to take up the slack so the team doesn't fail. There's you're "said ethical things". Guess performance doesn't matter.

Or, how about my colleague who got caught lying to the company with a fake set of numbers and kept their job (still employed) because they said they'd sue if they couldn't stay through the end of the year. Guess ethics doesn't matter.

A high percentage of layoffs were made ignoring the performance of the person laid off.

  1. That's just not true. How do you benefit from telling such lies?

A high percentage of the individuals involved in the layoffs were individuals involved in ethics complaints.
