It's what they know it's what they do! Every time the industry take a downturn these companies run back to Texas. Why would it be any different now? The heard mentality is alive and well in the oil patch! That's some "breakthrough thinking" for sure!

never made sense to have both the Denver and Greely offices
WTC and CSB are not needed anymore. Houston Oil companies are consolidating and closing offices in Denver.
Betting Denver office is closing, that's been the plan along. Either you are canned or you move. The writing has been on the wall since Ardmore got closed, why do you think there is all that empty space in Houston.
and the lease on 1625 broadway is up either this year or next...
Rent is a premium for Denver so it makes sense to consolidate .
Actually keeping the Denver office open when the Greeley field office has 100 empty offices isn't profitable. Consolidating resources CLOSER to your assests saves money. Also, when you have a "land department" that isn't near the field you're working with is just stupid...
Denver is not profitable... you are mistaken. Furthermore, all of those people in the Denver office could do their work from the Houston office! Go Astro's, Texan's, Rocket's!
Nine people laid off in Denver with more on the way
Not true....no way they would close the Denver office, especially when they support the only asset that is profitable at this point.
