Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Hold everyone accountable

Leaders should establish expectations and then ALL EMPLOYEES which includes the smokers, golfers, fantasy leaguers, talkers, and constant complainers need to stop ridiculing everyone else and hold themselves accountable for the companies success. Coming on this site to complain isn't helping your situation. If your unhappy do something about it. If you need someone to take you out behind the barn to slap some sense into you please let me know. I'm free after 6 Mon thru Fri.

Yes, we understand 189672 you're just here trying to manage the message. Can't afford any loose talk about the real Noble, it might undermine the GAP illusion. Bait and switch: the employee's attitudes are to blame not management decisions. Sorry, that doesn't explain the dry holes, the Rosetta acquisition or the empty office buildings. Management made those choices all on their own. By the way, our home lives are great, sorry your isn't.

And don't you think leaders know that about you? Complainers regardless of their environment will always find a way to complain. At work and in your home life. So do us a favor and tell your boss now that you would like to be shown the door, so that maybe someone else that cares can stay...

People aren't complaining they are pointing out the failures by management that have put their jobs at risk. If you don't like that speak to the management.

Why do you think 'these complainers' complain? Because they deserve better and are treated like a number on the food chain. These complainers will leave Noble once the market opens up and will move on to companies that respect and value them.

No worries.

In this tight market complaining can be cathartic.

Take heart.

When the market turns, and it always does, these complainers will leave Noble in a heartbeat.

Not a manager just tired of people complaining about everything.

I take full responsibility for where Noble is today. Execs, managers, now that I'm accepting responsibility for your bad decisions kindly hand over the tens of millions of dollars in salary, bonus and stock that you pocketed over the last few years! Hmmm... nothing yet...

Hold everyone accountable for the mistakes of the managers? Only a Noble manager would come up with that kind of senseless logic.

Management made the decisions. Grunts told to do as they were told or get slapped. Now grunts get slapped anyway. Management just doesn't want to be held accountable so they make excuses. "It wasn't me, it was THEM!"

WRT 189672

You fail to recognize to top down extreme control at Noble and note the departures of some folks that were viewed as key, Chris Kendall to name one. These people saw the writing on the wall. Perhaps YOU need to be slapped.
