Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

if bad managers and some HR are not canned, there is little hope for company

Bad managers at all levels. These are the ones making bad hires and bad reviews. Does company want this to turn around? We will soon know. Keep the same managers and you keep the same problems. Clean house on HR too. And stop already with guards escorting people out the door. Treat people with a lot more respect everyday and in layoffs. Last layoffs were an embarrassment. Plus you got rid of some great people rather than some of your good for nothing egos and no talent no knowledge managers whose advice and ratings you took as truth. We hired ignorance and then gave them authority. Come on. You guys supposed to be smart people.

Agree here too - Bad Managers abound at Noble. Good People (Perm employees) were laid off while Contractors still on the job. Even contractors sitting at home up North billing the company for doing nothing. Of course this contractor is a good friend of the Troll Director..... Karma is a B1TCH !

Well said 7071! Seems to be a growing trend... Managers who think their employees can do a better job than them try to make up stories about why their employees should be fired/ laid off. It's insane and happens a lot at noble!!

There are a bunch bad managers in Denver. Managers who were afraid you might take their jobs. They looked for reasons to lay people off who were more experienced and knowledgeable than they were. If you had experienced any disagreement with any of them you were targeted and labeled a malcontent. It didn't matter if you were completely right or not. Don't dare question me! And senior managers are so lame in Denver it's sad. Bad managers are in big supply at Noble.

Unfortunately the bad managers were put in place by the bad executives. Why? Because they were loyal. The execs will only fire their defective management team when they have no other choice.

110% agreed with this post. Stop putting bad managers in positions of power who give bad, unwarranted reviews to really good, smart employees. And then top level management only listens to those bad managers, and the low level employees that work so hard get laid off and screwed over and given a path of no success. What a shame.
