For those who missed the article on Apollo Group's long, slow demise, please take a look. Over the years, several workers presented me with well documented information of the company's wrongdoings. UoPX had many opportunities to right this enterprise over the last decade, but took the wrong path each time. Just ask John Murphy and other people who left this cesspool, and workers like Aldrich and Nolan who added nails to the coffin. Apollo Group's embracing of key politicians and African American shills was a cynical effort underlying a culture of racism, sexism, classism, and loathing. In a just world, Todd S. Nelson would have gotten prison time..................https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/apollo-group-sinking-ship-dahn-shaulis?trk=mp-author-card

859 - ITT Tech is still wasting tax payer dollars
Camden, the for-profit saga is over, who will you go after next?
When Apollo ends, Camden is done too. Maybe she will go whine about Walmart next.
UOP's learning material is great and instructors have extraordinary talent, but not the right type of caliber student to absorb the information. I can guarantee you that if the same material and instructors were placed at traditionals with traditional entrance requirements, outcomes would be impressive.
756 - I wouldn't say they have poor learning outcomes. Problem is that most who attend place little effort and can guarantee you that their GPA's are just above the 2.0 requirement to graduate.
@316--Correct and they have abysmal learning outcomes--most of these students are not "corporate" ready to do anything but empty the garbage recepticales at day's end.
316 - Let's not deny UoP and the other shit for profits are miles ahead of the rest in terms of defaults and predatory loan packages.
Do it do it!! Jump!#
Camden, find the closest window and jump.
370 - they want everyone else to pay. Handed everything. No more competion. Socialist bunk garbage.
316: Your comments reflect a utopian, socialist approach to education. Nice ideas, but who is going to pay for this inexpensive (to the student), high-quality, low-debt, equal-opportunity environment?
Let's not deny that all colleges are there for the money. Only those few exexutives at the top benefit the most from those tax dollars. Education should be reinvented, should be consiserably inexpensive to the point of everyone being able to afford a quality, accredited and recognized credential. No one should be left with huge amounts of debt. And everyone should have the same opportunity.
All of the for-profits are doing the same thing.. Basically like they only ever gave a shit about profits for the top, who would have guessed? The taxpayers are too stupid to notice, by the time any catch on the CEOs will all have long since walked away with billions.
