Must say I have been with the company over 25 years (UPS acquired my old employer), and with the amount of time & money they have invested in training/grooming me for my present role leads me to state that I have no grumbles whatsoever with UPS. I certainly do not feel undervalued or 'just a number'.

I cannot believe I am in the minority here and am surprised that others like myself have not come forward. I appreciate that people do at times feel they are neglected/treated unfairly and I have seen my fair share of people leave during my 25+ years.

However, ask 65-70% of those people (still stay in touch) if they would come back and they would jump at the chance. Grass is not always greener on the other side...

All changed about 5 years ago in the uk when the planned day came in. Before it was about the customers now its all about the figures, how far you're reversing, The company seems to have lost there way on what is most important. It used to be a good place to work but now staff are leaving very quickly even the ones with many years are going. New loaders are just chucked in the thick of it and they wonder why they leave within a week. Drivers straight back from training school on routes with full loads and told to stay out, they end up leaving. As the other comment stated we are just a number.

This is just my comments from what i am seeing at my centre

Working for UPS used to be great, there was a vision, strategy, grooming of resources, development of people and leaders. I feel like now it's all about executives and short term financial results. We also grew so much so working here at UPS feels like being just a number. My two cents only.
