If Essendant (formerly United Stationers) does get into the action by acquiring certain assets, that would be Staples Advantage. In other words, if you're a B2B, Account Manager or Inside Account Manager, including support staff, kiss your ass good bye. This harkens back to the days when Boise sold direct and only had a handful of REAl sales people in the field. They opened new business and held that business all the way through. Good luck to all you KoolAid drinkers in Staples Advantage.....you better get your resume in order, because Essendant runs a very lean machine now.
