The problem is with "early retirements" is that the employee is not ready to retire mentally or financially, but takes the deal knowing that they will be separated either way and takes the lesser of two evils. It makes it look better for the company to have those, but it's no different than the layoff.

True, it is global, yet mostly Columbus
