STJ Layoffs happening now

350+ people are affected. Thoratec, CardioMems, and NanoStim acquisitions are causing a huge R&D layoff in Plano and other sites.

Actually, CuriousGeorge123, there were four ex-Thoratec sites closed: on in California, one in Michigan and two in Massachusetts.

Ex-Thoratec is taking a good deal of the beating. Closed two facilities and laying off more.

Oh, what can I tell you - our management lacks leadership skills and employee development is more or less nonexistent. There are no female and minority representation at senior levels of the company - it's kind of old school, so if you are not part of that group you can forget it... PTO is horrible, benefits are 'ok' at best, things are getting worse every year

It's for real - my SO got canned today - SJM is has very weak management, it's very bad. Many of the managers got their position based on the "Old Boys Club" and they do not allow people to grow. They should be ashamed.
