Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

I am so disappointed with how the company is functioning. I have given this company a lot and I was satisfied with the reward that I got. However things have changed now. Managers do not care about the work, coworkers becoming competitive, no bonuses or salaries worth the extra effort... it is just not the place I want to be in. I talked to my manager about my intent to leave this place but they guaranteed me that my job is secure and I will be safe through the merger... Not sure what to do? Thoughts...
