GE buying other companies up

Alstom bought by GE-so this is another factor why they been laying others off at different stes: I'm sure some of these 60,000 employees will be gone next.

As part of the biggest integration effort GE has ever done, 200+ fully-dedicated and 400 more part-timers, from both GE and Alstom, have been executing on 120 different work streams. Over 40 Alstom leaders have joined GE’s senior team. Transition on Day 1 was a “mammoth task” (60,000 employees added into GE’s system), but management describes this as “one of the best transitions [it has] seen.” …
