A few months back I called some folks assholes and jag offs. These guys had to make some tough decisions or carry out decisions of higher ups and I definitely wouldn't want to walk in thier shoes. I worked hard, I developed myself and I was in a decent position within the company just long enough to get a good taste of success. If you have a family to take care of, you know nothing is more depressing and will make you feel like less of a man than loosing your job. I spent the next few month tearing myself and all my actions at work apart. I felt like I always came to work and gave more than 100% and then some. I took the cut personal. At an all time low I spoke ill of people or one person in particular that has to the best of my knowledge helped me. When I was cut, he treated me with respect, he encouraged me and checked on me multiple times. I called him an @sshole for carrying out his job duties. He even had an idea that I did this but still helped me gain employment. I was wrong about him and I'm sorry!
This happened to me in the UK, I was working for Petronas and was begged to join Halliburton as they made out they can offer me great career progress and better money, 6 Months later I got notice, assholes! Luckily for me Petronas gave me my old job back under the agreement that I'd sign a contract tieing me to them for a minimum of 5 years. It's good for job security but means no progression for a while.... Thanks Halliburton! Worst possible job I've ever had slaving away for the treachery! Hope whoever still has a job manages to keep them and Merry Christmas to all fellow oilfield men trying to feed families

The new Halliburton would not make a pimple on the company I started with. Mr.Erle. would be very disappointed how Halliburton is run today.
Just as bad the oldschool managers that paid out of pocket to move to Zanesville before the camp opened then get cut and or demoted. At least the old guys had some respect for the field. Now we're stuck with this Mr.Clean looking mother fugger from Texas as FSQC and his tromboneR playing buddy as PDC. When/if this market turns around I'm out of here to the first company that offers a few more dollars.
We had people sell their homes in Homer City, move their kids to Zanesville and get laid off within a matter of a few weeks.
You're lucky you didn't uproot your family for these jerks. Leadership is poor, stock price will never recover, they should be replaced, they're real assholes.

These a$$holes offered me a level 4 move package to transfer. I get everything going. I'm about to close on the new house and they cut me. Thank god it happened before signing those papers. Why the hell would you offer me a move package and within two months decide to cut me. That same manager had know this before hand....no organization. Jag offs!
