SIr Walter.
If you were a true Halliburton mid management.
You would not need sick days. Lol.
O hhhhh.you must be a field hand that brings in revenue. So mid management can get stock options and bonus checks.
Sir.Walter I tip my hat to you.
I made it thru thanksgiving layoffs. Had to take a couple sick days to recover from all the sucking to save my job but I made it. Now to get ready to suck my way thru Christmas. But I am ready. Let's roll.
Baker and Hal are orchestrating the layoff schedules? That is a big No No
I heard Baker Hughes and Halliburton agreed that there will be no layoffs the month of December. Come January 1st is another story.
Please remember that this whole deal thing is essentially about Hal having its feelings hurt that its stock was not valued as high as the blue team's. Yes layoffs may not make more sense and the continued gutting of Sperry may not make even more sense, but when Dec 16th rolls around... and there is no deal... and the stock crashes, shareholders are going to be screaming for their money. As has been true in the past and will be true this time, the response will be to cut heads.
If the deal fails, Halliburton will need to resurrect Sperry. Offshore contracts are now packaged as bundles. (Cementing, Drill Bits, Directional Drilling, Mud). I don't think the deal is gonna close before Dec 16th. And if the deal isn't closed, I bet the bids expire to buy Halliburtons Divestures.
All you fat turkeys will go this month and Dave will trim the rest of the pork in December.
I hope no
why pick on Sperry , they are going to be bought by someone soon
Well Dave cares. He wants you to be free to spend plenty of time with your family this holiday season.
If the deal is not closed by Dec 16th expect to see a big round of layoffs before the year ends. When the market reacts to the missed deadline, the only way Hal will have to payoff the shareholders will be to cut expenses. This means layoffs. Not sure which units, but would expect to see all of Sperry go.
anyone know about the NB center at Houston? More hit by the end of 2015? or are we done?
