My friend was part of this if I remember correctly:
Layoffs ---> Moving remaining Hired workers to freelance -----> wait allotted time according to law of having hired in house workers 'gone' to replace them with overseas help.
Because they are freelance during that period they are not employed by Disney.
Running around within the boundaries of the law. If they win this case for the employees, can you even imagine the lawsuits that will occur? Every company right and left has been doing this for years.
Good for them.
They should sue federal govt and senators who are pro H1B
