Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Carrollton Layoffs

Rumor around Carrollton is that HCT Technology will get hit with layoff on Dec 18. The amount is not clear, but we have heard between 20% to 40%. Thanks for the moral boost, management. There are plenty of contractors running around here, Singapore, and in India that should go first. Most of them can't do the job anyway.

ID: @EBqjgcd-dtG, its not technologies job to support operations. Operations should support itself.

I agree that contractors are not doing work but billing millions of dollars each month. 1/3 of technology is contractors, they are getting paid for doing nothing. Management wants to layoff its employess not willing to reduce contractors to cut cost.

What locations do you represent? I can help make sure you projects never get worked again.

Quit complaining like little bitches about stuff you have no idea about.

I take exception that technology are useless, they are worse than that especially Singapore and India.

My experience is there are too many meetings, never recorded accurately, actions never followed up

and everything passes the agreed timescales with no action taken on the tardy employees.

well, technology people are useless anyway... they work too slow and doesn't support operations enough.

Most of them have no clue what's going on at the rigsite or downhole conditions...
