Humpback will be another dry hole. Internationally Noble has drilled 5 dry holes now, don't forget Madison in GOM too, Lots of breakthrough thinking there and the NO ventures group not able to deliver anything viable. In any other company the folks kissing Susan's ass and Susan would be gone. These directors with Susan at the helm will drive this once good company into the ground. The sad thing is they will walk away with $$$. I am sure Karma will find them in due course

Noble XX's purpose is to believe something into existence. People who make negative observations, even observations based on good science, are labeled naysayers, and they are reassigned and encouraged to leave.
They need to replace Susan and her Troll Director - get people who know the business and are professional.
There was good geoscience done in the North Sea. GAP driven, mandated interpretations will always fail.
Might have taken dozens of wells in the North Sea before Ecofisk, but they weren't all drilled by one company. Noble is following in the footsteps/wildcats of others not starting from scratch. Also, it's more than 5 well failures isn't it? Some basins have had multiple failures. Others have been announced as discoveries but so far haven't been developed. Those must be waiting on $200 oil. The problem goes deeper than five different basins, that in itself isn't so bad. High risk basins/play types, high cost wells and knowing when to stop are also factors.
Cool your jets..... It took dozens of exploration wells in the North Sea before Ecofisk field was discovered. Exploration is a tough business. Five wells is nothing. What we should be critical about is the shotgun approach to what we are up to. Five wells in five different basins is the mistake.
