Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Watching From Afar - we seem to agree on a lot. R, D and O opinions are spot on, and they need to go - NOW. Had an Otis, how this guy ever got to be a SVP I have no idea. No offense to those of color, but my only guess is he is the token minority. The fact that Otis and his little minions , the RVPs, go into stores and go out of there way to be nasty to the GMs over trivial shit amazes me. The like to be especially rude to female managers and try to get the to cry. I am not trying to offend women by calling them over emotional, I am stating that I KNOW they went to 3 stores in my old district that had female GMs and harassed the hell out of them.

Now look, I have been the biggest critic of the failure of the current Staples staff. R, D, O, to name the key dipsh*t few. However, Tom Stemberg was forced out by some of these axxholes. He had created a company that employed 60K when he left. They took it on and ran it into the ground in a few short years. The only difference was VISION. Stemberg had it and the above mentioned few were merely bystanders. Stemberg was far from perfect but in comparison to the existing group he looks like a GOD! Ron is the biggest disappointment, because he was so easily seduced by fame and believed he was destined to manage a "GREAT" company with his newly acquired liberal friends. Demos was never that smart. Just a good GM I think promoted well above his pay grade. The "Peter principle". Otis is just an arrogant fool who believes bluster makes you smarter. With this group leading the company why would anyone expect results?

Oh come on now!Tommy only laid off hundreds of employees to line his own pockets.He was probably actually a nice guy other than that.Ronnie is next when he has a heart attack over how bad the 3rd party has failed.That reminds me,when is staples going to call be back for the 3rd time telling me how bad they have failed.haha!So much satisfaction in that
