They don't need golden parachutes, they need golden showers
When are all the duplicate directors, VPs and other stellar Cameron upper management leaders going to get their golden parachutes?
HOUSTON — Oil companies are cutting another 700 jobs in Texas in coming months, state regulators said Tuesday, as low crude prices continue to hammer the industry.
Oil field services firm Cameron International, which last month agreed to sell itself to Schlumberger for $12.8 billion, told the Texas Workforce Commission it is cutting 150 staff members over the next four months at its Brittmoore facility in Houston, “due to the current declining business conditions.” Cameron said the mass layoff will begin Nov. 2 and occur again on Dec. 7.
By law they have to announce a big layoff to the State and I believe employees
This doesn't include the layoffs in Midland/Odessa for Measurement and Drilling divisions. Midland Measurement complete shutdown and roughly 45 layed off all work transferred to JFK and 40 or more in Odessa for drilling. I'm sure more to come with the merge just around the corner.
The posted announcement was for the portion of people to be let go due to the offshore portion of Letourneau that was sold.
Old news. Try again.
