Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Industry Layoffs

A big majority of companies including Exxon, Anadarko, Apache arent publicly calling them layoffs just removing some excess low perfoming fat.

Yeah I understand economics 101 and I realize no one is safe in this environment. But do you understand that Noble is nowhere near as successful a company as Anadarko. Management insight, productivity of employees, exploration programs, etc. etc. It's not even close. That is why Anadarko has avoided layoffs while Noble is looking at their third round of layoffs.

Don't be fooled? You're a fool. Market is down no one is safe, economics 101, supply/demand. Even the companies like Anadarko who have been able to pretend like they aren't laying people off will feel the hurt and their charade will see the harsh light of day.

Anonymous181415 sure thing. I know many people at Anadarko. They have had no layoffs. One incompetent guy did get fired and he is making a big stink... no layoffs there. Don't be fooled.

Not always the low performers or excess fat.. lots of times it's hard working, good employees, and that's fact.

Yes, it's unfortunate. Interesting thing though, those sites don't have the disruptive trolls like this one does. Guess it says something about the character of this company.
