George Kirkland, a retired Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President at Chevron, who lives on Saddleback Drive, was the highest water user listed in the report. According to East Bay Municipal Utility District records, Kirkland used 754,732 gallons of water over a two a month period during the summer, or more than 12,000 gallons of water a day. Kirkland’s property is listed on Zillow.com as a 4 bedroom, 5.5 bath residence on a 4.08 acre lot, and includes a vineyard. It is insane with this kind of drought to use 12,000 gallons of water a day. I use on average 9,000 galllons per month. I am surprised Watson is not on the list, since he lives in the same neighborhood.
