Has anyone heard of a recent settlement agreement that Halliburton is required to pay everyone that has been cut in the mass layoffs this year? I have heard several arguments that due to a violation in the WARN act, a settlement has been reached and that all former employees will be getting lump sums by the end of the year. This sounds preposterous to me. I worked in an "exempt", non hourly, position with Halliburton for 4 years, and do not see this happening. Has anyone else seen anything or know anything about this?

There is another website when you put in Halliburton layoffs 2015. There is a group of people that chat in there.
The rumor I heard was that the WARN Act was violated by mass layoff, but would only affect the first round of layoffs in February 2015. It doesn't matter whether or not you were an exempt employee or hourly, it falls under "mass" layoffs. Look up the Warn Act violations online. If the rumor is true, it sure would be nice. Some people have not been able to find jobs.
What other website?
Go to the other website and ask the same question. I have heard the same rumor.
