Finally Branded's externals can have SSD's in them.
and now that sandisk is becoming part of WD...what does that hold for the future?

One analyst thinks a lot of people. He says WD could lose several thousand folks in the integration (He looks to Seagate as a benchmark of what the head count per unit of storage shipped could be...Seagate employs far fewer people per unit shipped).
I hope this doesn't happen, though. WD laid me off not long ago...Wouldn't wish it on anyone. But for me it was a total surprise. WD folks have some advance warning advance with this one.
Do you think most of the cuts will be in the WD sub or in the HGST sub?
I think everyone agrees that this will be massive, we are all just numbers my friend.
