Has anyone found that being laid off from chevron is preventing them from getting hired elsewhere?

Not at all, I have head hunters calling me. IT jobs are out there, not sure about other areas. Chevron's IT is going down the drain with these in-expereinced managers still trying to follow the Louie vision. What a waste. Louie saved one from S&T that no one wanted and now ITC is stuck with her. Glad I am gone, so screwed up.
Some 10 to 15% of Chevron managers are alcoholics and another 10% are protected by relatives, they say what they want to their buddies at HAL.
This is a repost from the other Layoff forums. That poster is right, someone is trolling around. CVX managers are not allowed to give that kind of feed back unless they do it against co. procedures, Which I'm sure happens, but it's not the norm. I hardly expect that CVX managers have anything to gain by telling other companies that they hire incompetent employees and they are incompetent at training anyone. They usually want to brag about how good they are and can train someone and that all the laid off people were so great and they are just sorry they had to cut them. I know that from experience. The egos rule. They basically say that even a laid off person from CVX is so great that they are way better than those from other companies.
This is a Chevron paid HR troll trying to taint this discussion by calling the poster a troll. You obviously touched a nerve. When the lawsuits come, and they will, the fact that Chevron is paying representatives to post disinformation on this blog is illegal. Yes, Chevron is that bad.

Yes. I have found that. I believe Haliburton and Baker Hughes do so much business with Chevron that they check with Chevron managers and get illegal, defamatory feed back.
