"efinitely, there are many useless incompetent ones especially recently prompted ones in the past several years.". so WHY is nothing being done to fix this?? The most appalling and a direct slap on the face of hard working engineers are the promotions to VP in the last review cycle. Why are the folks responsible for the flagship product failure promoted to VP while engineers where dinged and most of them berated by lousy directors/managers??? Why is this not fixed yet?

PJ, SM, MR, CA must go.. For VPs, Sr. Dir, and Dir, there are some technically strong ones as well.. Please don't generalize it. Definitely, there are many useless incompetent ones especially recently prompted ones in the past several years.

They only have clowns all the way from director upwards. This is the only company of many seen that has no-skill managers running the show as Sr. Director and VPs. It is insulting to all the engineers and skilled people below frankly.
I hate to reply to this kind of BS but OP is correct. PJ and SM took a profitable, growing, fun to work for company, and drove it into the ground. They get millions in bonuses, middle class folks are kicked to the curb. I don't know what the fix is, fortunately I'm retired and live of SS and my savings.
