Looks like Android/linux teams were hit hard, several VP's 3 weeks ago and lots of engineers today.
QNX and Windows teams pretty much not touched. Counter intuitive, wasn't Android the only money maker? Looks more like internal politics and no relation to recent stock drop, Jana etc. Just old good boys wresling over territories.
That's not true. My friend in windows team said they were cut by 30%.
No. All survivors in Windows team were told that's it. No more cuts in the near future. Management thinks there are lots of room for WP to grow. 2% market share means potentially you can grow up to 50x. Comparing to 80% Android market share, there isn't much to grow.
