RFSW has more than 150 people just in San Diego. RFIC, systems and RF reference design hardware has more than 300 across different functions. This group must have got hit with the mobile phone slowdown

I heard less than 2% of the engineers got cut in SD today.
RF engineers are second only to middle managers at Qualcomm. They will be the very last ones cut. The company is run by and for the envjoyment of RF engineers. All the other engineers who bust their asses - Software, Digital, Power, Thermal, Mechanical - they are just adding the parsley to a thing of beauty that the RF engineer created but only by talking to the Manager once each thursday ...
more than 2% for sure
Truth be told, RF performance ( in cellular not connectivity ) is probably one of the very few things that Qualcomm has an edge over the completion even now.
