@490--I think those who feel they bought a lemon should seek redress from the crappy diploma mill. The taxpayer shouldn't be responsible for bailing out "morons" who attended a glorified vocational school i.e., a for-profit sham school. Hopefully, the feds will allow the courts to force these fake schools to pay back unsatisfied students.
The 'just pay it' crowd is simply unaware that almost nobody can afford even rent or food at the current starting wages, much less some massive INTEREST payment that goes down the toilet for well over a decade. Wasted money that doesn't do a damn thing to grow the economy.

@1340. You are right. The CK often refers to this knee jerk response by the unaffected as a technique of neutralization. The "just pay it "mantra is easily said by those unscathed. There does seem to be a government-corporation alliance, love- hate relationship with sincere people stuck in the middle. There is not a systems approach to get valid grievances heard. This is what makes for frustration. The bad guys know this and very arrogantly go about business as usual. People say let it go but that's giving up and for now the struggle continues. So be it.
The time to shut this off was 10 years ago. I have lost faith in the government and the public as I watch this mess drag on and on, and grow exponentially in cost and magnitude while half the retarded population just mindlessly says 'just pay it' to bills that are usually more than rent + a car payment combined... for decades.
