Here's an idea. Why don't supervisors that only supervise 1-2 employees get he ax? What's the point in having that position, especially if one of the employees is a contractor? Speaking of contractors, why are we keeping them? They could get cut and that would save 3 employee positions per contractor cut.

The contractors are twice as smart as company employees. Just because you read a book in college doesn't really mean you know WTF is going on.
You don't get unemployment if you're a contractor.
Also - when they let you go, you're gone. No Unemployment eligibility.
Contractors are cheaper to the company as they do not have to pay them benefits that typically cost a company $30K or more a year. Bring in a contractor for half of your pay without the benefits and bam, contractor is looking better and better.
