Instead of listening to John Murphy and several others, John Sperling went with criminal minds like Todd S. Nelson. Presently, they do not have the qualified leadership or the culture to get out of this mess--and it's difficult to see how that coud change. What's left is a den of thieves and thousands of very desperate workers.

How are people in such denial? For-profit education was always a failure. It will always BE a failure. There is no amount of layoffs that are going to suddenly make thousands of FORMER students suddenly land jobs making 5 times as much to afford the massive predatory loans you piled on top of them.
They had good leaders. They let the good leaders go with the reduction in force. They kept the very worst of the worst. The leaders with a conscience were phased out. The leaders who would lie, cheat, deceive, forge, intimidate, and steal in the name of protecting mass profits are still there. They use every forum possible to make it look like they're "headed in the right direction." They're hanging on to the same old liars, schemes, and political spin. Like roaches. Ironic, isn't it?
They might not have all the right leadership in place but things are changing in that area too. Good leaders take time to find. If you know of any, why don't you just send them over.
