It would appear the goal is to layoff all employees hired since the "split" with the exception of the on campus recruits, of course. The dead weight is oh so much heavier after each round of layoffs.

Apologies - fat fingered the last one. Meant young blood
Of course not eery 'new hire' is a yung bloog. A lot of experienced professionals were brought in from other companies - mostly to clean up messes. Most were let go in April, basically because they were not part of the 'familly'. By 'family' I mean 'legacy Burlington Employee'
Not true in our group. Young bloods were kept eoi's were accepted lot of years of legacy companies gone.
Not sure what regions/offices people are talking about here. I can say that the authors viewpoint was especially prevalent in Canada - experienced hires, brough in since the split (the last 2-3 yrs) were the first to go, regardless of experience, just because their severance packages were cheaper. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, just stating fact.
Crap. All new hires kept in my group with presplit hires escorted out door. Managers going to be busy getting work out if people who do not know what they are doing.
Yes, this is crap - lots of legacy folks (experience) headed out the door.
Really? I know of many experienced hires who joined after the split who were not laid off. Get your facts straight.
If youmean the deadweight remans at the company you are correct…..
