That will be laidoff sooner before older folks like me would even get touched in corp r and d. I am a much better ass kisser and have been doing it a lot longer.

Anonymous176616: I think u are quiet damaged and embittered old guy. Time to leave the industry for u already. "Individual contributions" do matter and work culture is VERY VERY important. And it is very critical to gate bad apples at the door. Letting one bad apple in, exponentially rots the entire company. Unfortunately it seems to be too late for Q, IMO. Where people with ur mentality is well set in. Look at other big companies, granted there is politics everywhere, but a very serious non-compromising effort is made.... , in interview process, promotions, re-orgs etc..... to not allow the core culture be affected. I have been here at Q for some time... The culture keeps changing for the worse and downhill. I don't even know what are the core values of the company that I can count on... Too sad for this company filled with low quality folks in dir+ level playing "management"... When in reality they are just looking out for their own only...

No, I am the product of big.company bureaucracy that understands individual contributions no longer really matter. The only thing that matters is who is going to be setup to do all the grunt work night after night, who is going to be blamed and takes the fall when things don't go as planned, and who is going to take credit for rescuing the project during the last few hours. My job becomes easier once I align my ass kissing to the last guy.
