Agreed with Excvx. We lost some good people last week. Everyone would be lying, if they claimed they were 100% productive every single working hour. The important thing is that they perform their roles and responsibilities with excellence. Most people can't even do that. Some people falsely believe they work hard, simply because they are incompetent and are not efficient at doing their job. Others make their jobs look easy, because they are good at their job. I know which group I'd rather have on my project team.
Attitudes like yours are why I feel embarrassed about being laid off. I was productive and honest and was never rated below a 2. My job, however, was not valued in the current climate by certain people. Our department didn't go through the ROM. We just had layoffs. There are people still employed at high salaries working half a day at most, taking boondoggle trips and racking up miles and points for personal use. These employees often spend most of the day handling personal business using company resources. I can't change that. Fairness is not a god-given right. I can't change attitudes like yours, either. I can only hope you are never treated unfairly.
Merry Christmas, losers. You know who you are. The ones playing PC games and social media all day, using the copier for your personal crap and complaining/bragging on this board about how CVX hires incompetent workers and you get away with it yourself and act like it's everyone else.
