I made it through this ROM but I don't think my group will make it through another reorganization. I work hard but doubt there will be anywhere for me to go if we do this again in a couple quarters.

Rumor has it that in 2016 they might ask for volunteers. If that happens a lot of you younger hands will be safe. Older hands are ready to go, like me just waiting on a severance.
2016 will be tough
Upper management has hinted at the possibility of another ROM, as soon as this December. This is for the next wave of must-moves who are currently completing projects. They know that they need to trim down further, as the current series of ROM's were based on $60/barrel targets. As for now, the Spring PDC is still being referred to as a PDC, but if it should become another ROM, you won't be notified until last minute.
Here is a possibility. I do not know but I will speculate. Based on discussions with colleages in
GOMBU, SASBU and others at HOU it seems likely that a Spring PDC will be held for Horizons and other must moves. There will probably be another Resource Assessment Exercise round of cuts based on 2015 rankings prior to the PDC. Since there may be more must moves than places to go, some may be left standing and let go as happened at the start of this year. GOMBU ROM also in Spring and that timing may impact PDC too. Doughtful that ETC will see more post-ROM cuts other than RAEs and contractors anytime soon unless their budget gets gutted again which may happen if oil price stays very low. Just my speculation. Others may know different.

Yes, project Alpha currently approaching completion. Project Beta has just been announced to BU's not currently in Alpha.
Let alone, project Tiger currently doing the same as Alpha but for MCP's.
