Nobody gets 6-7 without some deep office politics involvement. No matter how technically talented they are. And the promotion for techies is always a few years 'delayed', you must do the time (in the secret mgmt spec) no matter what.
Reviews of 1-3 get no rsus. 4 gets significantly reduced rsu. 5's get somewhat reduced RSU. 6-7 get same RSU. No raises this time. Bonus is about 20% of the spring review bonus. Reviews moving to once a year. Straight from the horse's mouth

Bonus should also be related to folks " forced" to work way beyond the normal hrs to meet aggressive deadlines... Folks seems to be thinking receiving these are default benefits. Unfortunately, the company, at every level, execs to lower managent have been getting these as default and defacto twice every year, mostly due to their meaningless titles they hold. It's time management at all level set examples and followed these fundamentals... Lead by example.... Hopefully, we won't see any blatantly unfair, promotions like in the last round.... Morale is already low....
No merit, very small bonus pool, small RSU pool. There will be promos with adjustments. No retention discussions.

why would you be so bothered by the "no raise, no bonus" stuff you queer? It's true. Don't try to stand behind the HR bullshit and say it's not true. It it. Just like Qualcomm putting aside millions of dollars for another jet so they can go courting the H1B countries for their talent. IT IS TRUE! Better to fess up and let the American workforce deal with the decisions they have to make to stay competitive.

email went out to all managers (some managers actually confer with their reports, instead of only drinking the koolaid). no merit increases and no bonuses. don't count RSUs as a bonus - who knows what those are worth in 3 years. stick around.
why would 0% raise be nonsense? that would be the only SENSIBLE thing to do
