Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

ITC Leadership a joke

Can someone explain how a male manager in the ITC network group can have an affair with a contractor working UNDER him and poor wife working and traveling for Chevron, can still be in a manager role. Shame Shame Shame, Bill and Lynn this shows what most of us think of your management abilities, Nonexistent. Chevron Way my aXX. Where is HR and why are they allowing this manager to still be at Chevron at a 26 pay grade. The jerk knows better.

We all feel for his wife.

@35pa said it best 3 years ago in this very thread; “If you don't report nepotism, or a protected contractor "friend with benefits," you are partly to blame for the corruption in ITC.”

176968 If the manager has an affair with a contractor, that is every stockholder's business. Chevron is paying a large amount of money to contractors, about $85 an hour and up. When you see employees let go and the contractors stay, it is all of our business. The ITC contractor survives ROM after ROM. It's our duty to report it to the Chevron hotline.

I don't like cheaters but this manager's marriage is none of your damned business. If you're going to tweak out over every married colleague who cheats you're going to wear yourself out. It's unethical and gross to boink a subordinant and if somebody covered it up that's strike two, but is that the worst you've got? You don't like this guy? Get in line. I don't like him and I don't even know him. Try doing your job and solving some real problems. Read a damned book or magazine and sharpen your skills. Work your network so you can survive the next ROM. Or do you just want to stand around the office gossiping all day with your drawers in a twist with a look on your face like you just smelled a fart?

There is such fear of retaliation, that most people will not report illegal and unethical actions by managers at Chevron. If you are not willing to speak up now, when will you be?

What I heard was his manager(Lynn) hide it under the table as most managers do at Chevron if it is someone they like. The whole Chevron Way is a joke when they openly know this happened and he still has a manager job. The wife took off for 6 months so it is not a secret.

To Anon 176104's point - you can always call and offer to mail hard copies of any evidence you have. If this is really taking place, it's an ethics violation and needs to be reported.

And, if this is common knowledge, there has to be someone who's being ROM'ed out and would be willing to report it. I actually think it would be safer not reporting anonymously.

this web site "may" be anonymous, but the Ethics web site requires single sign on for authentication, so only report the issue if you want your CAI recorded
