Anonymous175374 - you are right, the RAE layoffs had nothing to do with performance, but rather with

A. daring to speak up when "The Chevron Way" would have been to remain silent or

B. how many relatives you have in the company or

C. whether your supervisor likes you or sees you as a threat.

The "others" let go include the RAE where a 10% WFI occurred for perceived low performance. In reality, many of these were people who bucked the process system and called bullshit when something really stupid that was going to blowup was being pushed through to get someone their bonus ( Bigfoot for example). Now some of our former best are being labeled negatvely by prospective employers since they were the first to get cut.

Hey Joe, I think this is old news. There are 950 when you sum the 4 Aug 12 notices. That sum is captured in the 1500 originally announced by CVX. The latter figure included contractors and others let go or retired. Maybe one of our HR business "partners" that monitors this forum knows better?
