I'm glad this whole process is over, but I can confirm that this was neither a performance-based cut, or a "best-fit" approach, but rather friends hiring friends.
I'm sad to leave some awesome colleagues but I don't envy those who are staying.

I am glad I am one of the first to go. We get a package, and the word on the street is, there is another round of cuts in March, and will they give the same package? Also, being one of the first to go, I will be in the market for a job now, and will have a much better chance of getting a job, than the people who will get cut in March. After looking at who got team lead and manager jobs, I know I will be better off, no matter where I end up.
I had some real separation anxiety after Accelerate Downstream....miss my friends, but the ones that stayed said that it was not the same company. Sorry this is happening again.
