Not me....
Not true, the two left standing from my team were given 8 business days to sort out their departure. Computer access was reduced (no data, unix home directory), but email, normal PC still connected. Certainly no police, escorts or any drama.
Left standing? Not so much. Your belongings will be boxed and you will be escorted out the door by two armed guards.
Yeah it's a really bad thing to not have heard yet. By Thursday afternoon management was notifying folks left standing as the job offers would have been completed by now. My condolences to those left standing who didn't want that result. I've been there with other major oil companies twice.
I was left standing in S&T.. Put a post out about it.. The nomination process was discriminatory based on us having to rank our nominations in order of preference , then the Sponsor of the position asks my manager,, Why did he rank me (my position) # 4... go figure huh..
Take it as a badge of honor if you are left standing. You must be smarter and a harder worker than your obese middle-manager. You are a threat. You will find a new job and learn that most companies in energy know about Chevron's poor middle management.
If your boss has been cold lately, you will be out by end of day. Bye bye.
You will learn your fate today. I get my notification this afternoon
Offer letters are out and left standing notifications start today.
So, no, nobody has heard yet?
I have seen very good ppl left standing in Rom2 while ppl I worked with before who are not very competent and even had bad ranking got jobs. It really depends on who you know. I feel very sorry for those who are going to be laidoff. everybody is disappointed at this process and Chevron..... Chevron is not the company I used to love
