The previous company was Finnish owned and full of a real cross section of people from all over the US, Europe, Japan, Latin America and the African continent. This was a much better environment to work in than Qualcomm is. So sick of the monotony of conservative/vegetarian/teetotaler fobs I have to interact with everyday.

174407: If you are right, it's time to sell the QCOM stock now; because the Indians don't exactly love the Chinese, and the Chinese aren't fond of the Indians, either. If cooperation between groups is bad now, it will only get worse. On the other hand, casinos in Mexico will make a fortune taking wagers on how late the new release will be....
Nokia sucks that is why they r out
@Anonymous173796, HEY THAT'S NOT RI...(trailing off). Yes sir, you are most correct sir. Strength Through Unity. Unity Through Faith.
173767: Yes, but in the U.S. Code, which is arguably a more important document for employers than some ol' document, there are very important words prohibiting discrimination on the basis of things like, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, disability, and various other categories. These rules apply regardless of whether the employer (-or manager, etc.--) intentionally discriminated, or applied a neutral policy or practice in a discriminatory manner, or whether the neutral policy/practice had an unintentional discriminatory effect. So, deal with it.
Anonymous173796,
Typical response...from people who aren't qualified to get those higher paid jobs. Enjoy working at mcdonalds. Let use know how that works out for you.
get used to it -not a startup anymore (that was once full of diversified vibrant talented risk takers)- yes it will be flooded /w people hungry to work for a recognized company - it comes both as a social status for them and a place to make a living - so they will help each other - those are key values in asian culture
And what happened to that Finnish-owned company?
Qualcomm hires the most boring personalities because they don't question authority and work like robots.
When you first joined Qualcomm. There was a very important document that you signed and read. The 3 most important words from it that you need to know are these: AT WILL EMPLOYMENT. If you don't like the Q, you can quit anytime you want. There's the door, don't let the door hit you on the way out. People like you are the ultimate losers. On one hand, you're so co-dependent on your employer and on the other hand you are all pissed off at your employer just because the color of others isn't like you. Well, tough shit. Unless you are in a position of power (which it doesn't sound like it) suck it up or get the fu ck out. Those are your only choices. You decide.
