Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Thanks conoco

Really appreciate conoco hiring me for 8 months and then laying me off with no performance review. I could have worked at many other places but I had no idea they would f*** me over like this.

I Got canned too, but when I got laid off - I let it go and just like Hyman Roth from The Godfather I said to myself, this is the business we've chosen - I didn't ask who gave the order - because it had nothing to do with business!

Sounds like HR is trolling around on this website!

Ideally 12 month minimum at a permanent job (non contract, non project, etc). Unfortunate the company did not continue the employment for another 12 months. No point in the performance review regardless as the performance review is of value only at the current employer. Focus on the resume and references. The ideal reference is a co-worker or member of management other than the immediate manager. HR is rather adamant management does not provide references for the immediate staff.

I hope learning the spirit values and making decision trees will help build your resume for your next job.

Ah yes decision trees, flow charts etc. tools that will allow managers and supervisors to check and make sure you covered your ass. Leave your brain on the door step and let us help you think! Nonsense!
