I heard that they are going to sell off their old stores if 365 works and just keep those.

Buyout is definitely on the table at this point.
The new HQ will still be attached to the store in a way (plans call for an elevated walkway between the buildings), it's just more room as well as a "school" for Conscious Capitalism (because THAT'S really where the company should put their money...). More and more operations are being centralized and moved to Global because that's the only way to scale. As for a buyout, they did it a handful of years ago where they let a VC come in and then they paid it back (and pretty quickly). The stock was dropping back then, they cut all of private label, and then things turned around. I'm guessing something similar is on the way.
To me , it looks like they have been preparing to sell. Drive labor down, running cost down...build a new corp office not attached to one of the stores....
yeah that uptick in the stock price was an appetizer.....
Leverage buyout. They have been trolling the sale with not the right takers so now be warned. Desperate times for sure when 80% of your income is central to stock price. See what happened this week????
Got to put lipstick on that pig....
At our store, they are talking about a buyout. Anyone else hearing this gossip??
