Does anyone know about people's rights while on leave. I'm on my maternity leave in CA and technically they have to hold my position for so long. Does this mean I can be laid off when I get back? I've been in contact with my store (TL &PBS) but no one has said anything about any of it. Do they have to tell me if I'm losing my position? I heard that most supervisors have to reapply for their position.

Yes, you can technically be laid off while on leave. Especially if your position was eliminated.
Contact a reputable labor lawyer. They are out there. It's just a conversation, and a good attorney will let you know what to watch out for and when/if there may be cause for action...as in money.
They laid off a girl at our store who is on maternity leave. Called her to come in.
Document your communications with your PBS and STL. Recap discussions with an email trail. Call a lawyer, Now.
they will try to screw you- they did me- little different circumstance
