Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Response to HLV Discrimination Post

It was brought to my attention that there was a post about a TM at the Highland Village Store that had breast cancer. The gist of this post is that HLV was working to get rid of that team member due to her cancer.

I am that Team Member, and the post is not true. I have been debating about responding, because I really don't like my business being public or inserting myself into drama. However, the leadership in my store has been so supportive and kind to me throughout my horrific ordeal, that I couldn't allow these accusations to stand.

This has been a difficult week for everyone. I am not commenting on the layoffs or decisions that have been made or how they have been made. I am only stating that that particular post about me was 100% NOT TRUE. I was not asked to post this. I am choosing to post this, because my STL, ASTL, TL, ATL, TMSL and every single team member has shown me amazing love and support and none of them deserve to have this said about them. I don't know which TM wrote this.......maybe you overheard a partial conversation.......maybe you misheard something.......I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that this is the case and you weren't starting drama.......but whatever you believe is not accurate.

I don't think you actually work a HLV because April is one of the hardest working ASTL I have worked with thus far. Seriously if you work at our store how many times have you seen her doing nothing? Easy to hide and spew bullshit.

Wow April. You are the ASTL in our store and Liz came on here and defended you and the other leaders and you mocked her? You are useless. I didn't see her saying she knew everything. She said she wasn't commenting on the company or the layoffs or whatever. She just cleared up her experience because our leadership team is one of the few that still are what WFM should be. You are the one leader that does nothing. Go away.

I personally have listened to STL and The ASTLs talk about a fellow ASTL cause their spouse had cancer....it was not pretty!

I was so upset about what they were saying....their not that sick ,why are they missing so mush work? How can we get rid of them!

So I believe the story of them shitting on someone that is sick,

And in the end...that spouse died a horrible death...I guess they showed them how sick they really were.

Then the same pieces of shit the STL and ASTLs had the nerve to be at the wake!

I never disliked people so much!!!

Liz,

That was so kind of you to post the message. It is a very hard time for everyone and I think many responded in a knee jerk way. No matter what company you work for there are always the good and bad co-workers. For many of us we chose to stay with WFM for many years for a reason.... times have changed in the company, but there are still very good people working there and many of us have developed friendship and developed our own skills working here. Thank you for taking the time to point that out. We wish you all the best while going through your own battle!
