171998 - Intel is the definite king with ARM based servers. AMD is making strides with the A57 called "Seattle". Q is just starting and they will have to sink a boat load of cash to catch up. They have Hydra but they don't have a bridge IPC and the clock rate will be under 2GHz which is not going to wow the crowd. Jury is still out.
@Anonymous171989, good joke, but people think the same about ARM servers (with no joke intended). So, what's your take?
- It was joke. Checking how many dipshits would chime in with their so called expert asshole opinions.
Compute uses nvidia gpu, no? It's all deep learning these days, just like it was all ball bearings in the 80s
Amd will wipe them out? Huh? This is meant to be a serious comment? Unlike snapchiuaua the Intel cpus can't be made by any mediatek that comes along. When I look at anything I use to develop a chip for Q, or do anything of any compute capacity outside work, it's all got an Intel cpu. Outsourcing everything to tsmc since day one has proven to be short sighted in the extreme and is now come home to roost. Just think how much cad and technology development we've just given away for free while Q management patted themselves on the back for their brilliance, it's laughable. Nobody was running this company for any long term, pump and dump.
"AMD will catch up and wipe them out." heard that in 2001
Intel is a sweat shop. If they buy qct they will be number 1 in copying and pasting and reusing garbage. Look at i5 and i7 cores what a f..king joke. AMD will catch up and wipe them out.
@Anonymous171814, which Intel division and office address?
@Anonymous171809 -- Agree. there's so many adjacent markets Q should be doubling headcount right meow.
171803 Wow you re smart. Why don't they promote you to CEO. Jackass.
Ah! That explains why the stock will be $118 by the end of March.
He who is without synergies cast the first stone.
i really hope Barry attends the 2016 shareholder meeting in person. (January). It's important for everybody to see the man behind the curtain
Qcom need only about 8-10k employees after split.
