of course everyone knows there is life after whole foods (except there are people who have worked for the company for 10+, 15+, 20+ years and have a lot financially invested and those are the people I truly feel sorry for) BUT that doesn't mean we shouldn't have compassion for those who have lost their jobs. seriously why is everyone such a snarky dick? get a life!

wow you're a royal jackass. I know a couple people like you at my store and let me tell you, everyone actually fing hates your guts! You're talking to people who have kids and families and sick moms and medical bills and REAL LIFE to take care of and having a job makes them be able to take care of those things. These are people who cared about doing a good job at a job that treated them fairly decently and who cared for their fellow co-workers like family. I like how you can hid behind being anonymous-- tell us your name if you really feel this way, I bet someone on here would know you and could tell a time when you've been down and out and people have come to your aid and weren't total fing dicks about it. get a life instead of bringing people down

I'd have taken the severance too. There is life after wholefoods. Consider yourselves blessed for having gotten laid off with severance.
I didn't get fired and actually wish I had... Wouldn't have minded the severance and a little vacay...
I took severance as soon as they laid the paper down... Found a job with comparable pay within 72 hours. I want to stress that people are playing weakness when in fact they are capable enough. I liked my job, but I dislike everyone and their shitty ' what am I to do?' Attitude.
No one complains about Walmart. whole foods is a lifestyle that Team Members bought just like you until you got fired . I moved on but I do not hate that place. it's just past and past will be .
