Well, it sounds like i will be looking for a job soon. Trying to plan ahead and am curious if severance packages were reasonable? I have been with Cam for 6 years.

For 6 years if you are under 40 you get 7 weeks, 40-49 you get 9 weeks and if you are 50+ you get 11 weeks. Just got this off the chart.
There is a chart that clearly describes how much severence you will get and it is based on your years of senority and your age. There are three age categories, 0-40, 40-49 and 50+ with each older age range getting a a few more weeks of pay. This has remained the same over time and does not vary from lay off to lay off.
I got 1 month for every year
I was offered 4 weeks and was with Cameron a year and a half. Less than a year got 2 weeks, 4 years+ got 5 weeks. I still haven't received it though.
I was part of the "reduction in force" back in March. I was offered 1 weeks pay for every year I was with Cameron.
severence package is a function of your tenure length and salary. I believe u get about 2 weeks per year or something like that. Good luck. I got lucky and found a much better paying job in a couple of weeks. Same dumb corporate culture though.
Packages are different from lay off to lay off. 2 to 8 weeks is what you can expect for 6 years.
