October 2015 or November 2015 Layoffs at Marathon - Have started hearing hints of "10% reduction in costs across the board" again...this is the exact phrase used just prior to the first round of layoffs. Would love to see some execs get canned in this round, namely our hilariously-coiffed CFO (among many others).

Nov. 5th after earning call would fit the pattern of the previous two if it happens at all this year.
"moving away from being an exploration company" is putting it lightly. With less than 10 total people doing exploration in the entire company after the last round of layoffs Marathon have already moved away from being exploration company.
Buying another company's reserves is a lot less expensive than prospecting for them in this market.
How about not reposting items from a few weeks ago.
Well, they seem to be moving away from being an exploration company. I'd be worried if I was an engineer, land man, or geologist this time around.
These cuts will likely require significant departmental reorgs as most groups are pretty thinly staffed already. I'd look for follow-on announcements of organizational changes as groups get combined and people get moved around.
