It's no secret that superheroes are hot and that superhero girls were the inevitable next step. (And not for the first time, been done back in the day.) Fashion doll or action figure, trotting out the pantheon of supe girls isn't what gets me. Taking their mythologies and cramming them all into Superhero High is what makes me lose my lunch. Like, oh wow, Wonder Woman is in high school and so, like, this is totally cool and....etc. Never mind that she grew up on an island as an Amazonian princess and never saw the inside of a high school in her life. Let's just make it all about princesses-meet-superheroes in the same tired formula. Of COURSE it's proof of Mattel's resistance to try something totally new! Greed and the fear of risk. That's what runs a biz these days.

If D Voss had a brain he'd be dangerous, just look what he did to DPCars, TS3, HeMan, Max Steel, & Hot Wheels the Movie. What happened to the Max Steel Movie? Why didn't it ever get released? Because it was crap........ Really? He should be getting promoted soon. Typical. Go MattHell.

The trailer for this looks awful - looks like the B team at Playground Productions worked on it. Would have expected more from Warner bros, but if Mattel is driving the content this is doomed.

what's wrong with bathing suits

Good for Mattel in trying to change the stereotype of female superheroes that have too long been portrayed as large breasted bathing suit wearing high heeled bimbos. Female superheroes have been the subject of old men's perverted fantasies for too long. Don't be jealous if your ideas haven't made it off your sketchbook. You can keep pitching bad ideas all day.

Our crack design team is already developing "Mismanagement High". Entitled brats of Mattel execs, struggling to find their place in the world. Classes include Arrogance Development, Casual Callousness, and Deferred Decisionmaking.

We used to throw shit at the wall to see what sticks BEFORE production. Now we are sad and shameless, desperately churning out endless and mindless variations on a tired formula that just isn't relevant anymore. Mattel is a sad punchline now. WTF happened?

OMG I would love a relaunch of boggling but then I thought about the cost reductions and the boglin high web series that would come out of it and decided against it. we are so screwed.

We did this back in the mid '80's with Princess of Power when the Original Masters of the Universe Line was out selling Barbie. I would look at this as just a relaunch/refresh which will most likely fail as we failed when DV tried to relaunch the MOTU & Max Steel domestically. I know, let's try to relaunch, Monchichi, Captain Power, Boglins, Computer Warriors, & colored chalk.......... Hot Wheels the Movie will save the year....... Not. Go Playground Reductions with an absolutely zero success rate.

Way to keep up with current trends. This was introduced at San Diego Comic Con.

Sounds like the former laid off/current Hasbro just heard some old news.

It's not THAT bad of an idea especially for a MATTEL girl product!!! I can understand that it's a bit tiresome to some, all the pun and cheek

However lets give it a chance shall we?

I do hope it is not proof of Mattel's resistance to try something totally new and create its own new content, I have tried many times in brainstorms to step outside of the norms, only to be brushed aside and marginalized,

I feel they already made there decision and are just looking for a feature
