So I heard there is going to be another layoff in January! Has anyone else heard this? Seriously,who is safe ,where's the so called job security!? Ohhhhh,that'sright!!!......There is none! So either take servance pay or wait around and apply for a opening, and seriously what are the odds of actually getting hired at a lower position. Those are the choices.. ....With all this taking place- WF can't even guarantee you a job!? I think that's the least they can do... ...We didn't create this BS situation . But obviously that's too much to ask for ! The greed of the 'Mighty Dollar' is more VALUABLE than having 'Company Moral's ' or better yet as a Human Being!

I agree with this as well. Compared to what I have heard in other areas, there haven't been too many changes in the NE region--at least that I have seen. I have heard rumors that a lot of the other changes that others are now dealing with are "trying to be avoided" here. But the way that I look at it, they are going in to peak business time. Come January, business will start slowing. The fact that these other changes have been implemented elsewhere and is in the rumormill here goes to show it's in their brains. It wouldn't surprise me if come January, another company wide sweep comes through including the bigger changes up this way.

Yeah that has been going around. It is unsubstaniated, but pervasive so it deserves to be talked about more. People are afraid that on thst round there wont be as good of a (if any) severence. It would make sense from a business perspective to do another round- it is right after holidays retail experiences a slump and tighter budgets. So until it comes to be or more information is disseminated from higher sources who know we deserve the truth, do what you have to and look out for each other. Dont succumb to the fear. Do let them make you feel as if you have no power or voice. Do not be afraid to leave if you have to.
